The short version

Good Outdoor Life is run by the Good Outdoor Life team, and it doesn’t track you. There are no cookies, analytics, ads or social media buttons, and everything on the page loads from goodoutdoorlife.com itself. The only personal information we see is what our web server logs automatically and what you choose to send us by email.

Server logs

Each time a page loads, our host’s server notes the IP address, browser, page, referrer and time. These logs exist so the site can be run and protected. We don’t use them to identify anyone, and the host deletes them after a limited period.

Email

If you write to david (at) goodoutdoorlife.com, we’ll use your address and message to reply, and delete the conversation once it’s finished. We won’t put you on a mailing list or pass your details on.

Sharing

We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising. Our host and email provider handle data for us, possibly on servers outside your country, including in the United States. We’d disclose information to anyone else only if the law required us to.

Your rights

Ask us at any time what we hold about you, and we’ll correct or delete it on request. If a state privacy law such as the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to you, you can ask to know, correct or delete your personal information, and asking won’t change how you’re treated. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Readers in the UK or the European Economic Area have similar rights under data protection law and can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (UK) or their local data protection authority.

Everything else

This site is for adults, not children under 13. Websites we link to are covered by their own policies. If anything here changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
